Diame
|
2 goals in 2 games, playing in his favourite position.
Did we make a mistake selling him?

His career is going backwards after leaving us and joining Hull!
Hillarious really when you remember how he was always holding us to ransom over a bigger contract or he was off to a bigger club. Still thinks he should be at a top club judging by his comments on joining Hull, good player on his day, terrible attitude......
GOOD RIDDANCE!

I seem to remember when we first signed him and after a couple of games, some were raving about him and wondering why Wigan had let him go?

I cannot see anything wrong in reading other fan sites. Though my information came from a relative who supports Hull.
Rather like this site it seems some Hull supporters will rave about a player and others will see plenty to criticise.

Why are two West Ham fans reading Hull websites?

On a Hull fan website some think that Diame has kept his place by scoring thus rescuing two overall very underwhelming performances
==================================
That's odd, because the site I was reading they had him as MoTM against us, and are raving about his performance on saturday as well?

Diame is a mercenary.
Will do superb at a club early on. Get his feet under the table and then settle down and just go through the motions.
I always questioned his fitness and think he covers it by storming it the first few months at a club then he has to slow down as he can't keep up the level. Always tired and disappered towards end of matches.
Did the same at Wigan. When we got him some of the comments from Wigan fans were based on this. Things like "Never realised he was still here" and "Always wanted a bigger club but never good enough".
Diame says he wants to play for a bigger club but deep down I suspect he doesn't really want to. If he did it would mean the demands on him would be greater. His performances would be scrutinised more and his lack of a consistent end product and fitness would be brought into question.
he is just happy to flirt from club to club around mid table and earn his big money and getting moves when he can to bolster his transfer payments.
I also found him to be quite an odd person. Never really engaged with the fans and, to me, always seemed a bit distant and disconnected. Never really knew how he felt about the club or his feelings on anything football related. I believe this suits him as when it comes to moving on there is no real difficulty for him or the fans.
A while back when he was performing pretty well many hated the thought of him leaving but now I think the majority were glad to see him gone. Too many nothing performances with too much talk of moving to a so called bigger club. I, for one, won't miss him and I believe most feel the same.

Why would we miss him? Aren't we a better team without him now? He can score all he wants but when he played for us he was mostly shite.

Re: Diame

Diame wanted a lot of money to stay, apparently. So it didn't look like he was going to sign the contract we had been offering. next summer he would've walked for free. So I think we did a great bit of business, e received 3.5m for him, plus saved 1.5-2m a year in wages. We then spent 3m on bringing Song in for a season and Barcelona are covering his wages (I'm presuming this was a cheeky work around FFP rules). So we basically exchanged one player who was a bit on/off for us, for a world class player who will probably be an ever present for us this season, fitness permitting, and who is already looking like ten times the player Diame could hope to be.

Diame was great for the first few months he was with us, then we lost interest. The same thing will happen at Hull. Good business getting as much as we did for him

Still think it was good business getting £3.5M for him.

Give it another three games, he'll shut off and Hull will realise how full of himself he is.
